Indian Mother of Pearl Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Naja Necklace Signed H JOE

Vintage Native American Indian mother of pearl Sterling silver squash blossom naja bead necklace, signed H. JOE, by Navajo artist. This beautiful necklace has 15 mother of pearl cabochons set in serrated bezels and framed by recessed crescent moons with a raised border and silver raindrops. The stones are quite uniform in size, and they measure approximately measures 3/4″ in height by 1/2″ in width. The naja pendant has 3 cabochons, and the bench-made bead necklace has 12. The pendant is 2 3/4″ tall by 2 1/2″ wide. The 12 squash blossoms are attached to a double row of 1/4″ bench-made beads, with the main necklace measuring 26 1/8″ from hook to eye, and the second row measuring over 16 1/2. Turquoise and Sterling Silver Concho Belt signed by Larry Moses Begay

This beautiful vintage Navajo belt has 9 clusters of variegated turquoise in sawtooth settings punctuated by silver beads and twisted silver rope. The clusters measure 2 & 7/8ths inch in diameter. Pictures are included for each cluster. The leather belt is 1 inch wide by 32 & 1/2 inches long. It weights 359 grams. You can see the hallmark on the back of the buckle: LMB (Larry Moses Begay). For many years my grandmother traveled to shows across the Southwest collecting coral, turquoise and lapis jewelry and belts. They were part of her signature look back when she used to go country line dancing at The Cowboy Palace. Most of these items have remained untouched in boxes since she broke her ankle 15-20 years ago. If you’re into Native American jewelry, you may want to keep tabs on me since her collection is extensive and she’s only beginning to part with it. NOTE: I don’t know how I missed this but there is a stone missing from one of the clusters. NOTE: Although this concho belt is not stamped “sterling” I took it to my local Joseph’s Jewelry store and they performed an acid test and confirmed that it is. Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise Sterling silver bead necklace and naja pendant, stamped STERLING, and signed EL BILLAH by the Navajo artist. This necklace showcases a beautiful aqua-colored turquoise stone on the naja pendant. The stone is set in a serrated bezel wrapped in silver rope on the top section of the pendant, and adorned, on the bottom, by a single hogan applique. A larger hogan was applied to each end of the sand cast naja pendant. The pendant’s bale is also sand cast, and has the same textured background as the naja. The naja pendant is approximately 3″ tall (including the loop and bale) by 2 1/4″ wide, at its widest point. The pendant is almost 2 1/4 minus loop and bale. The bale is 1/2″ tall by 1/2″ wide. The necklace has very sturdy 1/4 seamless silver beads, with an elegant antique finish. The total weight of this piece is 86.6 grams, and the length is 27, measured from hook to the loop-connector.
