There is a hairline crack in the stone but its not noticeable unless your very closeup. The stone isnt loose in any way. Please see last photo. The signature is almost completely worn of but you can see the first letter is J and followed by what may be a letter M. Its too faded to get a good photo of it. Inside including opening measures approximately 7, and is slightly adjustable. A little over 2 3/8. Width in front measures approximately 2. Turquoise measures approximately 40mm X 29mm. Large Native American Indian Green Turquoise Sterling Silver Bolo Tie Signed J

Old Southwestern Native American Indian green turquoise Sterling silver bolo tie, stamped STERLING and hallmarked J by the artist, most likely Navajo. This bolo showcases a slide with large green stone with a brown/tan and mustard yellow matrix set in a scalloped bezel, and framed by a filed silver border adorned with silver spheres. The stone alone measures 2 5/8″ x 2 3/8″, from bezel to bezel. The slide is approximately 3 1/16″ tall by 2 3/4″ wide, and has a clip stye cord grip in good working condition. The cord and tips look fairly new, and are possibly unused. The black cord is roughly 43 1/2″ long, including the 1 7/8″ silver tips. The complete tie is just shy of 96 grams! Very nice eye-catching stone and traditional, handcrafted Navajo silver work. Note: The stone has no chips or cracks, but it does have slight natural inclusions and lines that are natural to the stone. It was also only lightly polished. The Harry Morgan Traditional Revival Concho Belt with 69 Gemstones. The wonderful “Revival” design that Morgan introduced to contemporary style and the masterful stamp work that is both crisp and sublime. This is a truly remarkable Navajo Sterling Silver Concho Belt made by an artist that has excited the Indian Jewelry community for years. Harry Morgan passed away in 2007. As you may know, his stamp work is in demand. The the energy, skill, and precision needed to create a successful piece of jewelry is substantial. Harry Morgan was a master of this and is primarily responsible for the “Classic Revival Style” in Navajo silver work. He has many imitators and followers… But he remains the “Best” of them! There was some additional notoriety involved for him when his work was featured in the Robert Redford movie “The Horse Whisperers”. He has won many awards since and his work is always met with great enthusiasm by discriminating collectors. I BOUGHT IT YEARS AGO WHEN I FIRST STARTED COLLECTING BECAUSE I LOVED THE STONES – BUT IT IS MUCH TOO BIG FOR ME TO WEAR. THE CUFF MEASURES 2 3/4 WIDE, AND WEIGHS A SUBSTANTIAL 122 GRAMS! THERE ARE 5 BIG NATURAL LOOKING TURQUOISE – WHICH I WAS TOLD WERE BISBEE TURQUOISE. THEY RANGE IN COLOR FROM GREEN TO SKY BLUE – WITH THAT CHOCOLATE MATRIX. TO ME THE STONES LOOK DIFFERENT FROM EACH OTHER. I TOOK PICTURES OF THEM SO EXPERTS OUT THERE COULD DETERMINE WHAT THEY ARE. THE SMALLEST STONES AT THE ENDS MEASURE APPROX 1″ BY 1″ – THE LARGEST STONE IS APPROXIMATELY 1 1/2″ BY 1 1/4″. THE STONES ARE HARD TO MEASURE BECAUSE THEY ARE NUGGET LIKE. EACH STONE IS SET INTO THE CUFF – AND THE SILVER IS OXIDIZED, PROVIDING CONTRAST. THERE ARE LARGE TEARDROPS FOR ADDED DECORATION, AND HAND STAMPING AROUND THE CURVES OF THE INSET AND ENDS.
