A RARE AND UNUSUALLY LARGE NATIVE AMERICAN (NAVAJO) STERLING SILVER AND TURQUOISE SQUASHBLOSSOM. Please scroll down to see all photos, and read full description. This is a fabulous old pawn American Indian piece of epic proportions. I have looked around and have not seen one on the online marketplace of equal size and stature for close to this price and with time, these old pawn pieces are rarer and appreciate in value. Whether you wear this or frame it in a shadowbox for display, this is a collector piece. A heavy silver and turquoise squashblossom necklace comprised of 17 large 3 dimensional shadow-box discs, each mounted with impressive a deep teal-blue genuine turquoise nugget with a blackish matrix and stamped around the edge with a design. Additionally hand made silver rounded beads are strung on the rest of the chain. The piece has some age and is unmarked for metal or maker’s mark (but acid tested) as silver. On the back side, it has black sharpie writing from the original trading post vendor out West from whom the previous owner bought it on her travels. Because of no makers mark or silver marks, this was likely originally made to be worn by the silversmith or tribal family member. The handwriting on the back identifies the turquoise as Lander – which on some research and correspondence with the national expert and owner of the Lander Blue turquoise mine – notes that this indicates it must have originated from a turquoise mine in Lander County. The depth of blue color and matrix certainly has similarities with Lander blue (although it doesn’t look the same as any polished Lander blue stones I’ve seen, in part because the rough nuggets display the pattern differently – your view on looking at it may vary). The black matrix seems more defined in Lander blue, however this does not detract from the uniqueness and quality of this turquoise. The photos of a 5 8 tall person show the scale and sheer magnitude of the squash blossom necklace. It weighs approximately 491 grams. Total length of necklace: 34 inches. One side down to end of horseshoe: 19. Length of horseshoe/naja: 4. Width of horseshoe: 4.5. Diameter of discs: 1.75. You are welcome to ask questions, request additional photos and submit offers. MASSIVE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cuff Bracelet HEAVY 136 Grams
NOTE: PLEASE READ MEASUREMENTS AND MEASURE YOUR WRIST BEFORE PURCHASING TO AVOID A RETURN DUE TO SIZING. This listing is for a very large and heavy vintage Navajo cuff bracelet, handcrafted from sterling silver and natural gem grade Turquoise. This incredible bracelet is a “knock outta the park”. At over 135 grams this Navajo crafted cuff was made to be seen, with a huge and uniquely shaped slab of natural Turquoise as the focal point and some of the best silver work we’ve seen to date. Bright blue undertones along with hints of Caribbean greens and heavy orangish tan matrixes run throughout the stone. The colors in this stone are STUNNING!! I was told the Turquoise is from the Bisbee mine but I’ve never seen Bisbee this color. I’m not an expert on gem stones so there’s no way to know for sure. The stone bulges high from its bezel on one side while the other half sits almost flush with the bezel… It’s a very interesting and unusual shape. The stone is in mint condition with a satin polished finish and sits securely within its bezel. The silver work is just as impressive as the stone and done at the highest level of craftsmanship. After twisted rope surrounds the stone, each side of the face is jam-packed with an assortment of detailed silver works, some of which are very unique and like nothing we’ve seen before. The stone and silver work all rest over a sturdy triple shank made from thick heavy gauge silver. The two outer shanks are wide and adorned with stampings to the North and South while the center shank is made from two thick twisted ropes and a thin silver rod in between them. So I guess you could say this is a five shank cuff. All of the shanks come together at the ends creating a decorative wide single shank. Between the unusual stone, the incredible silver work, and detailed shank, this vintage cuff is a masterpiece. This Navajo crafted cuff will make a great addition to any existing collection of fine Native American jewelry. Cherish and enjoy this vintage cuff before handing it down to a loved one in the future. Weight – 136 Grams – 4.8 Ounces. Inner Circumference End to End – 5-1/2. Gap – Just a hair under 1-1/4(Possibly adjustable with extreme force, I recommend not adjusting the gap yourself but, take too a jeweler for adjusting). Total Inner Circumference Including Gap – 6-3/4″should fit a wrist between 6-1/4″ and 6-5/8 comfortably. If your wrist is smaller than 6-1/4″ then the cuff will be loose and slide up and down the arm. If your wrist is larger than 6-5/8″ the cuff will be too tight and uncomfortable. Cuff Face Measurements – The cuff face measures 2-5/8″ tall (measured from North too South) and 2″ wide(measured East too West).. Its a very large piece! Stone Measurements – The stone measures just a hair over 2″ tall by just under 1-3/4″ wide(1-11/16). The one side of the stone sits on top of the cuff face at 3/8 high, while the other side sits nearly flush with the bezel. The bezel alone measures around 1/8 tall. Signed By Artist – NO. Stamped Sterling – NO tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Later Mid-Century, 1970’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition, with original stone and slightly aged natural patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own. Extra bubble wrap and packing materials are used to ensure a safe arrival to its new owner. Please see all 12 photos!! Enlarge them and study them. Ask any questions you may have. Massive Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cuff Bracelet
Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise sterling silver bracelet by V&N Edsitty. Jaw dropping gorgeous with enormous turquoise hand set stones. Five natural Pilot Mountain turquoise stones have been set in raised sterling silver bezels and decorated with silver beads. Inner circumference of bracelet: 5 3/4. Gap opening: 1 1/2. Fully inner circumference of bracelet gap size included: 7 1/4. The bracelet is 2 1/4 tall. The center turquoise stone measures approx. Signed by artist on the back V&N Edsitty. There is no purity mark, however it has been tested positive for sterling silver. The condition is excellent with vintage patina. How to Make Sure Your Bracelet Will Fit. The best way to get a good fit is to measure a cuff bracelet you already have that fits you well and look for a bracelet with those dimensions. If you don’t have a cuff bracelet to use for comparison, then measure your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet. Use a half inch wide strip of paper and wrap it around your wrist. Be sure that it completes its circumference over your wrist bone and is in comfortable contact with your skin the whole way around. Mark the paper where it begins to overlap with the start, lay it out flat, and measure from the start to the mark. This is your proper wrist circumference. Your satisfaction is our priority. MASSIVE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cluster Cuff Bracelet 165 Grams
This listing is for an older Navajo cuff bracelet, dating back to the mid century, featuring an abundance of silver work and old Kingman Turquoise. This incredibly massive Navajo cuff is nothing short of a masterpiece. With its large face, 40 Kingman stones, and top-notch silver work, it is sure to not disappoint an avid collector of vintage Native American jewelry. The wide single shank has an oxidized surface in near mint condition causing the bright stones to pop off the surface. The edges of the cuff are slightly raised and feature classic Navajo hand stampings all the way around. Just inside the raised edges, a classic twisted rope surrounds the entire face framing the 40 Kingman stones that adorn it. Each stone is held securely in a scalloped bezel while large silver droplets rest in between them throughout the entire surface of the face. The stones adorning the front of the cuff are positioned in three rows with the center row being larger than the two outer rows. All three rows graduate in size starting off smaller at each end and becoming larger as they near the front center. They have a satin-polished finish along with varying textures as they slightly protrude out of their bezels. The color hues are beautiful being several pastel shades of blue and green. Each stone has a fair amount of matrixes including black spotty matrixes and shimmery golden pyrite. Several of the stones look to have hairline cracks but, they are matrix lines…. Please do NOT confuse the two…. ALL 40 stones used in this piece are in excellent condition! This is a wonderful example of authentic mid-century Native American jewelry. It has been well taken care of over the years leaving it in its great vintage condition. There are no markings or signatures, very common of earlier made pieces however, it has been tested and verified as. MASSIVE Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cobblestone Cuff Bracelet 200 Grams WOW
This listing is for vintage Navajo cuff bracelet made of several stones and sterling silver. PLEASE read entire description from top to bottom. I try to go above and beyond when describing pieces of this nature and value. Please pay close attention to measurements, especially with cuff bracelets… The last thing both of us need is to have to deal with a return. So kick back, dont be in a hurry, and take 5 minutes to process all the information below. Where should I begin? ! ? ! ? ! ? This bracelet is by far the craziest, largest and heaviest piece we have collected over the last 3 years. It is mind blowing! The shank is simple, but very solid and heavy, being made of solid sterling silver. It has a width of nearly 2-1/4 while the depth/thickness of the shank is incredible at just over 1/4. I dont normally do this but, to put this piece into perspective I did a little math equation. The front of the cuff has a total surface area of 14 square inches. Of the 14 square inches, 5 are plain silver, while the remaining 9 are covered in huge bulging stones. So 9 square inches of pure organic beauty and color is what we have here! The stones used for this piece consist of Turquoise, Black Onyx, Mediterranean Coral, and two white stones that Im unfamiliar with. Each stone butts up to another stone in a cobblestone fashion creating a large rectangular display, that covers nearly 70% of the entire cuff. They have incredible mass and are cut into geometric shapes. Of all the stones used, the turquoise covers the majority of the 9 square inches. The colors and matrixes are phenomenal, not to mention the textures! The stones have been cut and polished but the Artist left the nooks and crannies of the turquoise alone to give a raw and organic look. The coral pieces are long and thin creating two V shaped coral areas over the front of the cuff. They have very nice red color with matrixes running through some. The Onyx pieces are very smooth and shiny like a mirror. They are very geometric in shape with three out of the four being triangular. In the photos my finger prints are showing on some of the onyx stones. Please note: my finger prints arent permanent. Lastly, the two mysterious white stones…. I have seen stones like this before in Navajo pieces, just not 100% on what they are called. The white stones have a very opaque off white color hue. They contrast nicely with all the other bold colors. I have searched for glue between the stones crevices and I havent been able to find any. Normally glue is visible in pieces of this nature but, not on this piece. It was very well made and very solid with no give what so ever!! I have taken photos from every angle possible to show the greatness of this bracelet. This is not a piece that should be worn daily. This would be a great addition to a Native American collection, a fantastic display piece, and of course on special occasions – You would wear the hell out of it. Cherish and enjoy this gorgeous tangible asset for now….. And like I alway say…. Hand it down to your loved ones in the future so they may have the same enjoyment as you once did! I will entertain reasonable offers!! Lets make a deal… Weight – 199 Grams. Inner Circumference End to End – 5-5/16. Gap – 1-1/8 (NOT ADJUSTABLE). Total Inner Circumference Including Gap – 6-7/16 (will fit a 6-1/4 wrist or smaller, because this cuff is so wide and has a small opening it will be hard put on and take off for anyone with a wrist larger than 6-1/4). Width of Cuff Measures – 2-3/16. Inlay Section measures – 4-5/8 long by 2-1/8 wide. Total number of stones used – 19 Total. Turquoise – 6 stones. Coral – 7 stones. Black Onyx – 4 stones. White stones – 2 stones. Largest Turquoise stone measures – 1-15/16 long by 1 wide. Largest Coral stone measures – 1-1/8 long by 1/2 wide. Largest Onyx stone measures – 1-3/8 long by 5/8 wide. Largest White stone measures – 1-1/4 long by 3/16 wide. Stones sit on top off the cuff – up to 3/8 high. Signed By Artist – NO. Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. Later Mid Century, Late 1980s – Early 1990s. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition, with original stones and patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own. Extra bubble wrap and packing materials are used to ensure a safe arrival to its new owner. Please see all 12 photos!! Enlarge them and study them. Ask any questions you may have. MASSIVE Vintage Ceremonial Navajo Silver Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace 600g
Hand-made with natural Turquoise cabochons and Sterling Silver, this necklace is sure to be a treasured work of Art for its new owner. It doesnt get much better than this… This necklace was hand-made by a Native American Navajo Artist. It isnt your average everyday Squash Blossom necklace. It is the largest and heaviest Ive ever come across and very well made with heavy gauge sterling silver and the most beautiful natural Turquoise. The stones are all original and in good condition as they sit inside saw tooth bezels. All 99 stones are different and unique in their own way with some having matrixes and some not. The blue and green colors of the stones are bold and vividly stunning… I honestly cant say enough about them. The Naja is very large and ornate with a scalloped edge and 29 stones situated symmetrically over a thick bed of silver. The Artist also applied classic silver raindrops to accompany the stones. The 10 squash blossoms are just as beautiful and coincide perfectly with the Naja. Each blossom has a scalloped edge and contains 7 stones. One stone is centered and surrounded by twisted rope, and 6 are surrounding the center Stone with a single raindrop in between each one. The flutes are made of sturdy solid silver and have 4 ends opposed to the typical 3. The hand-made bench beads are in great condition with no dents and are strung on a thick and sturdy braided fox tail chain. As you can see this necklace has a 4 strand chain of hand made bench beads. This necklace is heavy and the Artist made sure to use 4 strands instead of the standard 2 strand. The 4 strands turn into 2 strands at the sides near the collar bone for comfort and easy wearability. The hook and eye clasp is also handmade and larger than most. This item has not been cleaned or polished. It has been left in its original state. This work of Art is literally a masterpiece, one that will last for years and be handed down for generations. Keep in mind this is not a piece that should be worn on a regular basis. It was made for special ceremonies or to be displayed. If you are a collector of Native American jewelry then this item is a must have!!! It would also look very nice displayed in a shop…. Hand it down to loved ones in the future. Massive Navajo Sterling Silver Kingman Turquoise Cuff Bracelet Large Wrist 8
Im proud to present this magnificent vintage Navajo cuff bracelet, made of solid sterling silver and gorgeous gem grade Turquoise. This piece is stunning!!! Weighing in at nearly a whopping 140 Grams it is sure to make a statement and be noticed. This gigantic cuff bracelet features 7 outstandingly large Old Kingsman turquoise stones. The stones are so large they cover the entire face of the cuff from end to end. All of the stones are in MINT condition and sit securely in their bezels. The stones are of high gem grade quality and each one is more beautiful than the one next to it… They truly have the most gorgeous blue color and matrixes. With flakes of gold Pyrite shimmering in the light and matrixes ranging from black to brown and white, you wont be disappointed at the quality of these stones. Nestled between each stone are superior graduating silver rain drops and towards each end of the cuff you will see several of these raindrops bunched tightly together. The edges of the bracelet are bordered with classic hand stamped silver patterns and accenting silver ropes that run from end to end. The bracelet is hand wrought, very wide, and made for a mans wrist. The silver used to make this piece is thick and of high quality therefore, the gap is NOT adjustable. When worn on the correct sized wrist it wears very comfortably. A fantastic piece hand made by Navajo Artist Mary Ann Spencer, this piece is sure to not disappoint. The design is simple, yet breathtakingly beautiful. A very well made solid cuff bracelet…. This piece will make a great addition to any existing Native American collection and will be passed down for generations. Cherish and enjoy today…. Hand down to loved ones in the future.
