Tested positive for Sterling Silver. Hand signed “Jonathan Nez” by the Navajo silversmith. This is a substantial expertly handcrafted piece of wearing art. It is absolutely beautiful in person. You will not be disappointed. Coming from a family of silversmiths, Jonathan is the younger brother of the renowned jewelry artist, Leonard Nez, who was a mentor to Jonathan for many years. This beautiful turquoise and sterling silver concho belt is signed “IN”, of the Navajo tribe. There are a total of 13 conchos, including the buckle. Each concho can be adjusted along the belt as desired, and there is enough room on the leather to customize a waist size. The full length of the belt is approximately 45 inches, and does contain a hole already punched for about a 36 inch waist. There are some light scratches, scuffs, and discolorations along the leather. There is patina on each concho; this can be easily cleaned if desired. The pictures provided will give you a good idea of the dimensions. The belt is not overly heavy and will look great with any outfit. This piece was merchandise in my mother’s now closed business.
