On offer is an authentic, classic vintage NAVAJO hefty hand wrought. 925 sterling silver carinated angle knife edge cuff bracelet adorned with hand stamped decorative crescent motifs. This bracelet is not hallmarked which was common for Native American silver work prior to the 1970s. It tested positive for Sterling Silver. We believe it was created circa 1960 or perhaps earlier. This carinated angle knife edge cuff bracelet was expertly crafted in the traditional NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). It is characteristic of ingot silver. Overall, the sterling silver cuff bracelet measures approx. 3/8 wide with an interior circumference of approx. 7″ TOTAL including 1 1/4+” opening. It has a bit of flexibility for careful adjustment and weighs a very hefty 51.5 grams – 1.655 ounces. This classic NAVAJO sterling silver carinated angle knife edge cuff bracelet created by a skilled artisan would make a handsome addition to any Twentieth Century Navajo Native American Silver Jewelry or Historic American Cultural Arts and Crafts collection. We have been involved in the design and creation of contemporary jewelry at the undergraduate and postgraduate level since 1967. In 1975 we opened a gallery of hand wrought fine art contemporary jewels and have since handled thousands of unique, one of a kind and limited edition pieces crafted predominantly by American artisans with a special emphasis on Native American Art. Fantastic vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver bracelet. This is a breathtaking vintage Navajo large, thick and sturdy all silver bracelet. He photos just don’t do it justice. It has twisted silver wire and a central braided silver design framed by four shanks. Inner circumference of bracelet: 5 3/8. Gap opening: 1 1/4. Fully inner circumference of bracelet gap size included: 6 5/8. The width of the bracelet measures approx. There is no purity mark, however it has been tested positive for sterling silver. Excelled condition with vintage patina. How to Make Sure Your Bracelet Will Fit. The best way to get a good fit is to measure a cuff bracelet you already have that fits you well and look for a bracelet with those dimensions. If you don’t have a cuff bracelet to use for comparison, then measure your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet. Use a half inch wide strip of paper and wrap it around your wrist. Be sure that it completes its circumference over your wrist bone and is in comfortable contact with your skin the whole way around.
