This listing features a vintage Navajo ring handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Natural Royston Turquoise. Handcrafted during the mid century by an unknown Navajo Artist, this vintage ring features an oval face adorning an untreated Royston stone. The stone portrays dense color qualities of rich blue-greens with heavy orangish too black matrixes and sits securely in a straight bezel followed by twisted rope. The stone looks to be completely natural and untreated with a satin polished finish and is in excellent condition. The ring sits nearly 1/2 high on the finger having a deeply carved out design traveling around the stone and down the sides. I can’t remember the name of this technique but it’s hard to find and resembles tree bark. The design is very unique giving off an organic look with incredible texture and dimension. At bottom center the shank is smooth and wide. It’s a very sturdy shank in perfect round shape. Truly a beautifully ALL HAND-crafted piece. There is no signature or sterling mark which is common of the era however, the silver has been tested and proves to be sterling. This vintage ring will make a great addition to any collection of fine Native American Jewelry. Enjoy this Navajo crafted ring before handing it down to a loved one in the future. Size – Sits between a 10.25 and 10.5 on a ring mandrel. Weight – 23 Grams. Ring Face Measurements – The ring face measures 1-1/16″ long by 3/4″ wide, and sits on top of the finger at nearly 1/2 high. Stone Measurements – The stone measures just under 3/4″ long by 1/2″ wide and sits on top of the ring face just over 1/4 high. Shank Measurements – At bottom center the shank measures 5/16 wide. It widens on each side as it nears the face, where it measures approximately 1 wide on each side. Signed by Artist – NO. Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Mid Century, 1950’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stone and naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
