Description: A nice, smaller sized, turquoise and sterling silver’squash blossom’ necklace with 12 beautifully designed squash blossoms. Each one with hand-stamped detailing, see photos! Tested as sterling silver. Maker: Hallmarked with a “P” on an attached plate on the backside of the naja. Not sure whose hallmark it is for sure, but it appears to be classic Navajo work from the late 1960s or 70s. Age: Vintage, circa 1960s – 70s. 20 around the neck. Pendant measures 2″ l x 2 1/8″ w. Condition: Vintage, good, normal wear expected. Please look closely at the pictures as they are an important part of our description. Up for consideration is a total showstopper of a vintage family heirloom Squash Blossom! This is a gorgeous one of a kind Sterling Silver and natural Kingman turquoise AUTHENTIC Native American Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace. This item is vintage; circa 1960s-1970’s and not signed, which was not uncommon for Native American silversmiths and artisans in the 1970’s and earlier. It is verified professionally to be. 925 Sterling Silver and genuine natural turquoise. The total weight is a strong 220g, and the stone is natural Kingman Mine Turquoise. This is true museum quality! PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ORIGINAL TAGS HAVE NEVER BEEN REMOVED, IT IS UNKNOWN IF MAKERS MARKS ARE UNDERNEATH. I just want it to be loved and cherished as I have for many years, and my mother did for years before me. The item is vintage, and shows extremely light natural patina. The necklace has been stored in an airtight safety deposit box, thus any new exposure to natural elements will bring about patina beautifully. Every single time I fashioned this item I received countless compliments, pictures do it absolutely no justice! You are sure to be noticed in this gorgeous head turner! The pendants and Naja blossoms are each hand carved and crafted with such great detail, and each stone sits secure in its hand engraved/etched shadowbox style detailed bezel with rich deep border; it truly goes to show that each pendant was so carefully handmade and detailed. The bench beads are all beautifully handcrafted and painstakingly handmade, varying slightly from one another as they should and strung on a traditional silver link chain. All coordinated pieces are original, never restrung or repaired. The absolute WOW factor here is the turquoise!! The Kingman used in this piece is the single most gorgeous matrix of brilliant vibrant blue colors and deep rich ribboning and veining I have ever seen, truly picture perfect Kingman!! You can see slight variations in each stone when you look up close, as only found in real genuine turquoise. Pictures do this absolutely no justice. This should be in a museum, but so sturdily made it is suitable for daily wear.
