Vintage Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise Sterling silver bead necklace, stamped STERLING, and signed JOSEPHINE, most likely a Navajo artist. The pendant showcases a gorgeous turquoise. The light blue in the center of the stone contrasts beautifully with the striking brown matrix. Polished cabochon is set in a smooth bezel wrapped in silver rope and framed by a half-round filed border. A large silver feather applique and 3 silver spheres adorn the border of the pendant. The bale is an open hook style, and measures 9/16″ in height, just over 1/16″ in width, and a depth just shy of 1/8, which may not accommodate thicker chains. The stone alone is roughly 2 3/16″ tall by 1 1/2″ wide, from bezel to bezel. The total weight of this piece is just over 69 grams. Measures approximately 28 1/4. New Mens Ring in Sterling Silver with Hubei Turquoise made by Native American Navajo Artist Lorenzo James. The setting is sterling silver with an overlay design on each side and a hand made setting on top. It has a heavy bold look, but is not a very heavy ring. The setting is tall, the top of the stone rises above the finger more than most rings. Total Weight is Approx. The turquoise is from the Hubei. Region in China Turquoise is approximately 14. MM x 9 MM. Stone weight is approximately 4.9 to 5.7 carats for this size. They are not backed, just the turquoise. Length of setting is approx 17 mm along the finger. Ring Size 10 1/4. Etched “LJ” and stamped “Sterling”. Lorenzo uses traditional stamping, forming, and casting techniques, and individually sizes his rings.
