This listing features a vintage Navajo handcrafted squash blossom necklace made from sterling silver and gem grade turquoise. Weight – 220 Grams – 7.76 Ounces. Length From End to End – 27. Naja Measures – 3-1/8 tall by 3 wide. Blossom Measurements – The blossoms graduate up in size from the Naja at 1-3/4 long by 1-1/8 wide too just under 1-3/4 long by 1 wide. Top Center Naja Stone Measures – 7/8 tall by 3/4 wide. Pearls Measure – 5/16 in diameter. Stamped Sterling – NO, tested and verified. Signed by Artist – YES, with initials VI deeply stamped on the Naja. Mid too Later-Mid Century, Early 70s+. Condition – Preowned, in very good vintage condition with original stones and a naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. This large and heavy necklace was beautifully crafted by a skilled Navajo silversmith during the later-mid century. It features large turquoise stones bursting with gorgeous colors and matrixes. 7 stones adorn the Naja, all bordered by classic twisted rope, while the top center stone rests over a larger bed of silver with curved silver works surrounding it. The 10 blossoms follow the same design of the Najas top center stone with sturdy triple fluted bottoms. All of the stones are secure in their settings and in mint condition with the exception of a hairline crack in one stone. They stones have beautiful deep shades of blue and green along with contrasting matrixes running throughout. The handmade pearls are in excellent condition and strung on a thick wire chain with a classic hook and eye clasp. This item has been left in its original state with a naturally aged dark patina. OLD PAWN Navajo Cuff Bracelet -Vintage PETIT POINT CLUSTER 7

Vintage Navajo Native American Cuff Bracelet 7 (for flat wrist). This is a beautiful traditional style Native American bracelet has 41 stones and is likely from the 60’s or 70’s. It came from my Mom’s Native American jewelry store that she had starting in the early 70’s and closed in the early 80’s. She bought this piece and put it away in a back room. It never saw the display, nor was it ever worn. We found out later that she hoarded a lot of the nicer pieces. I did a hot needle test with the needle glowing red and it did not penetrate the turquoise at all. This has a W over an S on the back with a sterling stamp. The circular area on the top of the bracelet measures 2 1/2 long x 2 1/2 wide. THIS CUFF IS FOR A FLAT WRIST. Cuff Length: 5 3/4. Total Wrist Size: 7. 50 grams, Sterling Silver. We do our best to document our items accurately. The only reason we will accept a return is if we misrepresent an item by accident. This is our #1 priority. All silver has been tested with a magnet and ice – the only two tests I know for determining Sterling Silver without purchasing an expensive instrument and, I feel is more accurate. Ice melts incredibly fast with solid sterling versus sterling plated, nickel silver, or other metals. Silver coating or silver with high levels of other materials will be attracted to a magnet. Any turquoise that I may question as block turquoise, I will test using a hot needle in a non-invasive location and will note the test. I don’t know any other way to test turquoise. Again, please use your best judgement. I can only go off of what I learned from my father, who did repairs on Native American jewelry. Vintage Sterling Turquoise Cuff Bracelet Hallmarked

Please read full description. Age of Item – Vintage. Condition – good condition (polished). Light scratches from wear and age. Inside Circumference – 5 1/2 end to end B. Gap Opening – 1. Width across bracelet – 2 1/4. Width from top to bottom – 1 7/8. Outside width of bracelet – 3/8 end to end. Weight – 15.57 Grams. Makers Mark – S M – can’t find exact name, there are several in both Zuni and Navajo. Precious Metal Mark – Sterling and confirmed positive by acid test. Designs or engraving – see pics. Gemstone – 5 sleping beauty stones – measure approx. Remarks & our Opinion – This is a lightweight cuff and is easily adjustable. Cuff is more oval than round and has markings on both sides. Marked SM at end of cuff. Dating – earliest would be 1950’s. We do a few basic tests to check if it is fake. Hit against teeth for sound. Use acetone to see if matrix washes off. Visual appearance and weight. If any of these checks are negative then we will let it be known in our description. If this is a polished cabochon we also assume it is stabilized turquoise. We do not know if it is low / high grade turquoise because the tests are destructive in nature and could damage the turquoise. Our opinion’s made about the jewelry we sell is so we can be as correct and honest about our description as we can. Native American Stamp & Hallmark Info -There are no exact dates when “Sterling” was first used on Native American jewelry. Opinions vary but is suggested after 1932. Most Native American items from 1930’s and before would not have a Sterling or 925 stamp or a Artist hallmark. There are exceptions to this. Some items made in the 1940’s-1950’s may have used the Sterling stamp. In general the Sterling and or “925” stamp with a artist hallmark since the 1950’s was and is still used today.
