The Royston District is one of Nevada’s better known turquoise producing areas. Colors vary from different shades of green, dark blue to green-blue, together in one stone. Royston matrix is heavily sought after by collectors and is known for bold colors intermingling together. The stones are absolutely beautiful and very vibrant contrasted by a toffee-copper color matrix with hints of gold. This is the earliest Thomas Singer piece we have ever collected. This design was one of the most popular designs in Native American jewelry and the chip inlay technique that you see with the turquoise and coral. This technique was invented by Thomas Singer which makes the necklace that much more amazing. This necklace just so happens to be one of Thomas Singer squash blossom necklaces that contains his earliest hallmark that is seen in Bille Hougarts hallmark book. This necklace contains 10 fascinating inlaid thunderbird squashes that each measure around 2″ 1-1/2″. Located at the bottom is another phenomenal inlaid thunderbird pendant that measures around 2-5/8″ X 2-1/8″. Vintage Native American Indian mother of pearl Sterling silver squash blossom naja bead necklace, signed H. JOE, by Navajo artist. This beautiful necklace has 15 mother of pearl cabochons set in serrated bezels and framed by recessed crescent moons with a raised border and silver raindrops. The stones are quite uniform in size, and they measure approximately measures 3/4″ in height by 1/2″ in width. The naja pendant has 3 cabochons, and the bench-made bead necklace has 12. The pendant is 2 3/4″ tall by 2 1/2″ wide. The 12 squash blossoms are attached to a double row of 1/4″ bench-made beads, with the main necklace measuring 26 1/8″ from hook to eye, and the second row measuring over 16 1/2.
