Gorgeous Southwestern Native American Indian green turquoise cluster Sterling silver naja pendant, stamped STERLING and signed R BRD by Navajo artist ROBERT BIRD. This majestic naja pendant showcases 15 phenomenal stones, mainly green, with a single blue one in the center. The stones appear to be from the Royston mine in Nevada. The nicely polished cabochons are set in smooth bezels with silver raindrops in between them, and adorned by beautiful Native American motif stamps all around. New Unisex Ring Sterling Silver Bisbee Arizona Turquoise made by Robert Shakey Native American Navajo Artist. Setting is a Sterling Silver flared one to six band shank with hand made trim on top. This Turquoise is Natural and comes from the famous Bisbee mine in Arizona. The “Lavender Pit” mine is known worldwide for its size and the host rock does have a natural Red/Brown or some say lavender color; most Bisbee turquoise formed in and near this same host limestone material. The lavender name is so appropriate but is actually referencing and named for a Phelps Dodge executive from when the mine was fully operational. (the mine closed in the 1970’s). The turquoise is from Bisbee mine in Arizona. This gemstone is NOT stabilized or treated, only mined, backed carved and polished. This vintage estate piece is a bench made concho belt created by Navajo Silversmith Robert Becenti. His hallmark R B is on the back of the buckle. The belt is crafted in the traditional stamp method out of sterling silver. Each concho is individually hand shaped, stamped, and oxidized to bring out the various examples of dies used for the meticulous stamp work design. The belt is not only beautiful to wear, but is also highly collectible. The turquoise cabochons are from the Sleeping Beauty turquoise mine and are a deep sky blue color. The belt measures 36 long. Each concho is 1 1/2 ” long and 1″ wide. The buckle is 2″ long and 1 1/4″ wide. The belt weighs 103 grams. The connecting rings are 1/2 in diameter. This belt is circa mid 1970’s.
