Gorgeous, vintage Native American Royston turquoise Sterling silver full finger ring, size 7.5, unmarked but most likely Navajo. This ring features a very long, green, aqua, and brown Royston turquoise, lightly polished, and set in a scalloped bezel wrapped in twisted wire. The dome shaped stone sits on double-shank. This piece weighs approximately 26 grams, and it’s 3 5/16″ tall along the finger, by just over 3/4″ wide. Superb stone and craftsmanship. THE PHOTO JUST BEFORE THAT (THE 8th PHOTO) SHOWS THIS RING (CIRCLED) ALONG WITH SOME OTHER UNSIGNED RINGS BY THE CLARKS (ON THE LEFT SIDE) AND IN THIS PHOTO, THE 4 RINGS ON THE RIGHT SIDE ARE INDEED SIGNED. THESE EXTRA PHOTOS ARE PROVIDED AS PROVENANCE. Although currently famous for their micro-inlay, they started out doing traditional work like this in the early 1970s. Almost all of the pieces in the collection were hallmarked with their stamp, however there were a few pieces without hallmarks. This is one of them. The last 3 photos show some of the rings from that collection and a couple of the hallmarks. Although there are various styles, it is obviously the same work from one ring to the next in the collection. When he retired and moved back to AZ recently, he brought the collection out of storage and we then acquired it. The items were NOS from over 40 years ago and all were early works of Carl and Irene! Age: Vintage (Circa 1973 or 74). Size: Ring size is 12 1/2 and the longest point measures about 1 1/2 inches. Weighs 27.3 g. Additional Info: A n ice turquoise and coral stone set in hand-embellished sterling silver. Tested as sterling silver. Condition: Good for it’s age, normal wear expected.
