Vintage 1950/60s Signed NAVAJO Sterling Silver Buckle. Possibly by Quiyo Lewis? I have for sale a beautiful and important, older vintage NAVAJO signed sterling silver belt buckle. The wonderful patina is left intact for you to enjoy or clean as you wish. It is fabulous in its complex execution. Beautiful feel in the hand and beautiful to look at! Very clean with no defects noted. I found this piece through a California moved to Texas estate. The total weight of the belt is 80 grams. The buckle measures: 3 x 2.5 ; fits a 1.5 wide belt. RARE Vtg NAVAJO WILLIE SHAW Signed STERLING SILVER CONCHO BELT. This Navajo concho belt is in mint condition and features exquisite craftsmanship. Signed “WS”, the initials of Willie Shaw a well known Navajo artisan who was invited to display his creations in the first Indian Fair held by the Heard Museum in Phoenix, Arizona in May 1959. 925 Sterling Silver, Copper, Leather. 3 wide x 2 high. 2 wide x 1.75 high. Length of Leather Belt. Width of Leather Belt: 1. 291 grams (10.26 ounces). Holes on the Leather at 30.5, 31.25, 32, 32.75, and 33 5/8. All the silver is shiny and polishes easily to a beautiful sheen. The leather is strong, smooth, supple, unbent, and unscratched. The five holes for the buckle hook are in fine shape. This listing is for an older vintage Navajo belt buckle made of sterling silver and turquoise. This large handcrafted buckle is in excellent vintage condition featuring a display of tightly bunched stones over a thick bed of oxidized silver. Each stone sits securely in a raised sawtooth bezel that pops off of the dark oxidized face. They have strong vivid shades of green along with heavy black matrixes. Each stone has just the right amount of matrixes to match up perfectly with its neighboring stone. The design is finished with a wide border of deeply hand stamped silver. The swivel belt keeper and hook located on the back is in mint condition with all the parts and pieces being made of sterling silver. A fantastic find for both men and women. Will make an excellent addition to any existing Native American jewelry collection or could be the perfect piece to start one. The size is perfect… Not too big or gaudy, yet not so small it wont be seen. This piece is one to cherish and enjoy for now…… And hand down to loved ones in the future. Weight – 74 Grams. Item: Old Native American Turquoise Sterling Silver Repousse Stamped Concho Belt. Markings on the piece: None. Stone(s): High grade turquoise – largest stone is about 5/8″ tall by 1/4″ wide, bezel to bezel. Weight: 392.5 grams! Height: Buckle 2 1/4″, conchos 2 1/2″, butterfly conchos just shy of 2. Width: Buckle 2 7/8″, conchos 3″, butterfly conchos 1 1/8. Length: 41 1/4 end to end. Clasp: Pin buckle with swivel keeper can accommodate 1 strap. Belt Size: Roughly 35 1/4″ first hole, and 37″ last one. Additional notes: Strap is used and has some concho marks from end to end, not very visible because conchos cover most of the strap. Still in fairly good shape. High grade turquoise and heavy gauge silver. All measurements are approximations. Please measure your wrist, decolletage, finger, and waist, or use an old bracelet, necklace, bolo tie, belt, and so on, to determine your size.
