This beautiful vintage Native American handmade turquoise and Sterling silver bracelet created by Navajo, Dine’, artist Kirk Smith. Smith hand cut, shaped and polished 42 matched round snake-eye, two smaller. 50, and one larger (1 X 1.25) rectangular turquoise stones. These are arranged into three flower head clusters decorating a shank formed from five thick triangular wires soldered together at the terminals. KIRK SMITH Navajo / Dine; 1957 2012. One of the most skilled practitioners of the Classic Navajo Revivalist style. He was taught by his brother-in-law, Harry Morgan. Many of my bracelets have been on display in my home only. This museum quality piece is very old and is an absolutely stunning piece. The necklace is from the 1950’s and is incredibly well made. Situated throughout the necklace are amazing sterling silver bench beads with a traditional figure 8 & hook closure. This necklace consists of 20 fascinating silver squashes with each carrying a remarkable dome shaped green Royston turquoise stone. Each squash measures around 1-1/4. Located at the bottom of the necklace is a beautiful sterling silver naja pendant carrying 3 more beautiful Royston turquoise stones. The naja measures around 2″ x 2″. Vintage Navajo Indian Sterling Silver Turquoise Stampwork Bracelet Cuff. Inside from end to end 5-1/2″, with 1″ gap. Total inner circumference is 6-1/2. Not marked sterling but has been tested to be at least coin (90%) silver. All items, unless stated otherwise, are previously loved and used. Therefore, they inevitably have scratches and slight imperfection (not brand new). We could miss dents/cracks and such imperfections are not included in the description wordings, simply because we didn’t notice. Please refer to pictures for condition as it is exactly what you will get. We describe the items to the best of our ability, but please note: size and weight are approximate only. “Vintage” is based on look and feel of the item. It could be way older (earlier than 1930’s), or it could be newer (later than 1980’s or 1990’s). Sometimes sterling jewelry could be chrome plated. It is still sterling if it is marked so. We tested all our jewelries. We are not experts on stones. Potential buyers please refer to pictures on type and quality of stones and make your best judgement. Our description is just a guidance. We name an item “southwestern” if it is of southwestern style. It applies to items origins of which we are not completely sure. Up for sale is a vintage southwest sterling silver concho belt. It measures 32 long including the buckle. There are 14 conchos that measure 1 x 7/8. There are 15 butterflies that measure 7/8 ” x 3/8 “. The buckle measures 1 3/8 ” x 7/8 “. Each piece has a turquoise stone that measures 1/4 ” across x 3/16 “. Weight is 118.3 grams.
