This necklace is sterling silver Navajo bench beads, seam beads. The silver has been darkened , then lightly polished it for an old rustic look. The round beads are 7mm and the melon beads are about 7mm by 25mm. The necklace is 25 1/2 long. Strung on sturdy fox tail chain. VTG 70s sterling silver turquoise Navajo peyote bird squash blossom necklaace

Ancient symbol the peyote bird, rich with history and lore. I like this squash blossom necklace! The chip inlay is greenish blue, the sterling has a nice dark patina, the birds are strong and bold, together they look lovely! This necklace is 115 grams, 26 inches long, the birds are 2 1/4 x 1 1/8 inches long and wide. The beads are about 7.5 mm, nice and smooth, strung on a square sterling chain. No hallmarks that I can find. Very much a 1970s look. Native American, probably Navajo. Condition: very good, while it has a lot of patina, the necklace over all is in very good condition.
