Massive Old Pawn Squashblossom Native American sterl. Lander Co Turquoise Navajo

A RARE AND UNUSUALLY LARGE NATIVE AMERICAN (NAVAJO) STERLING SILVER AND TURQUOISE SQUASHBLOSSOM. Please scroll down to see all photos, and read full description. This is a fabulous old pawn American Indian piece of epic proportions. I have looked around and have not seen one on the online marketplace of equal size and stature for close to this price and with time, these old pawn pieces are rarer and appreciate in value. Whether you wear this or frame it in a shadowbox for display, this is a collector piece. A heavy silver and turquoise squashblossom necklace comprised of 17 large 3 dimensional shadow-box discs, each mounted with impressive a deep teal-blue genuine turquoise nugget with a blackish matrix and stamped around the edge with a design. Additionally hand made silver rounded beads are strung on the rest of the chain. The piece has some age and is unmarked for metal or maker’s mark (but acid tested) as silver. On the back side, it has black sharpie writing from the original trading post vendor out West from whom the previous owner bought it on her travels. Because of no makers mark or silver marks, this was likely originally made to be worn by the silversmith or tribal family member. The handwriting on the back identifies the turquoise as Lander – which on some research and correspondence with the national expert and owner of the Lander Blue turquoise mine – notes that this indicates it must have originated from a turquoise mine in Lander County. The depth of blue color and matrix certainly has similarities with Lander blue (although it doesn’t look the same as any polished Lander blue stones I’ve seen, in part because the rough nuggets display the pattern differently – your view on looking at it may vary). The black matrix seems more defined in Lander blue, however this does not detract from the uniqueness and quality of this turquoise. The photos of a 5 8 tall person show the scale and sheer magnitude of the squash blossom necklace. It weighs approximately 491 grams. Total length of necklace: 34 inches. One side down to end of horseshoe: 19. Length of horseshoe/naja: 4. Width of horseshoe: 4.5. Diameter of discs: 1.75. You are welcome to ask questions, request additional photos and submit offers. MASSIVE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cuff Bracelet HEAVY 136 Grams

NOTE: PLEASE READ MEASUREMENTS AND MEASURE YOUR WRIST BEFORE PURCHASING TO AVOID A RETURN DUE TO SIZING. This listing is for a very large and heavy vintage Navajo cuff bracelet, handcrafted from sterling silver and natural gem grade Turquoise. This incredible bracelet is a “knock outta the park”. At over 135 grams this Navajo crafted cuff was made to be seen, with a huge and uniquely shaped slab of natural Turquoise as the focal point and some of the best silver work we’ve seen to date. Bright blue undertones along with hints of Caribbean greens and heavy orangish tan matrixes run throughout the stone. The colors in this stone are STUNNING!! I was told the Turquoise is from the Bisbee mine but I’ve never seen Bisbee this color. I’m not an expert on gem stones so there’s no way to know for sure. The stone bulges high from its bezel on one side while the other half sits almost flush with the bezel… It’s a very interesting and unusual shape. The stone is in mint condition with a satin polished finish and sits securely within its bezel. The silver work is just as impressive as the stone and done at the highest level of craftsmanship. After twisted rope surrounds the stone, each side of the face is jam-packed with an assortment of detailed silver works, some of which are very unique and like nothing we’ve seen before. The stone and silver work all rest over a sturdy triple shank made from thick heavy gauge silver. The two outer shanks are wide and adorned with stampings to the North and South while the center shank is made from two thick twisted ropes and a thin silver rod in between them. So I guess you could say this is a five shank cuff. All of the shanks come together at the ends creating a decorative wide single shank. Between the unusual stone, the incredible silver work, and detailed shank, this vintage cuff is a masterpiece. This Navajo crafted cuff will make a great addition to any existing collection of fine Native American jewelry. Cherish and enjoy this vintage cuff before handing it down to a loved one in the future. Weight – 136 Grams – 4.8 Ounces. Inner Circumference End to End – 5-1/2. Gap – Just a hair under 1-1/4(Possibly adjustable with extreme force, I recommend not adjusting the gap yourself but, take too a jeweler for adjusting). Total Inner Circumference Including Gap – 6-3/4″should fit a wrist between 6-1/4″ and 6-5/8 comfortably. If your wrist is smaller than 6-1/4″ then the cuff will be loose and slide up and down the arm. If your wrist is larger than 6-5/8″ the cuff will be too tight and uncomfortable. Cuff Face Measurements – The cuff face measures 2-5/8″ tall (measured from North too South) and 2″ wide(measured East too West).. Its a very large piece! Stone Measurements – The stone measures just a hair over 2″ tall by just under 1-3/4″ wide(1-11/16). The one side of the stone sits on top of the cuff face at 3/8 high, while the other side sits nearly flush with the bezel. The bezel alone measures around 1/8 tall. Signed By Artist – NO. Stamped Sterling – NO tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Later Mid-Century, 1970’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition, with original stone and slightly aged natural patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own. Extra bubble wrap and packing materials are used to ensure a safe arrival to its new owner. Please see all 12 photos!! Enlarge them and study them. Ask any questions you may have. Massive Vintage Native American Navajo Sterling Silver Turquoise Cuff Bracelet

Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise sterling silver bracelet by V&N Edsitty. Jaw dropping gorgeous with enormous turquoise hand set stones. Five natural Pilot Mountain turquoise stones have been set in raised sterling silver bezels and decorated with silver beads. Inner circumference of bracelet: 5 3/4. Gap opening: 1 1/2. Fully inner circumference of bracelet gap size included: 7 1/4. The bracelet is 2 1/4 tall. The center turquoise stone measures approx. Signed by artist on the back V&N Edsitty. There is no purity mark, however it has been tested positive for sterling silver. The condition is excellent with vintage patina. How to Make Sure Your Bracelet Will Fit. The best way to get a good fit is to measure a cuff bracelet you already have that fits you well and look for a bracelet with those dimensions. If you don’t have a cuff bracelet to use for comparison, then measure your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet. Use a half inch wide strip of paper and wrap it around your wrist. Be sure that it completes its circumference over your wrist bone and is in comfortable contact with your skin the whole way around. Mark the paper where it begins to overlap with the start, lay it out flat, and measure from the start to the mark. This is your proper wrist circumference. Your satisfaction is our priority.
