Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Cuff Bracelet Sterling Silver Gorgeous
This is a Vintage Native American Navajo Turquoise Cuff Bracelet in Sterling Silver Gorgeous Stone. This unmarked bracelet tests positive for sterling silver and has natural age patina/tarnish. The cuff is carinated and the appliqué includes a gorgeous turquoise stone in a plain setting surrounded by rope twist wire, raindrops, and file work. The bracelet weighs 23 grams and measures 5 1/8 inches, plus a 1 1/8 inch gap, for a total of 6 1/4 inches. The width measures 1 inch. The bracelet is a little too big for my 6 1/4 inch wrist mainly because the gap is too wide. There is NO flexibility for size adjustment, and it is not recommended. The bracelet features a beautiful turquoise stone with tan spider web matrix, rope twist wire, hand-dropped raindrops, and stamp decoration. There is lovely natural age patina/tarnish. The bracelet weighs 33 grams and measures 5 1/4 inches, plus a 1 1/8 inch gap, for a total of 6 3/8 inches. The width measures 1 inch. The Turquoise is absolutely Stunning – looks like Carico Lake Turquoise, lovely light Blue & Green with swirls of Cream Matrix. The stone is well set with fine silver work & the three large raindrops pair perfectly with the Sterling Silver beads in the necklace. Back of pendant marked Sterling R (Roy Buck). Necklace is 18 long with 6mm Sterling beads strung on Sterling chain (hangs really nicely). Clasp marked 925 and Sterling has been tested on all pieces. Jim Harrison Navaho Vintage Inlay Cuff Bracelet Sterling Silver Awarded Artist
This is a BEAUTIFUL piece. Inlay and Sterling Silver TURQUOISE CORAL LAPIS ONYX, BONE, Sterling Silver Cuff Bracelet. Stamped Jim Harrison Sterling. Approximate Inside measurement end to end w out opening is 5″, plus opening or Gap of 1 1/8″ Bracelet is 1/4 wide. Biograghy from Pueblo Direct: Jimmy Harrison is an authentic Native American Indian. He is a member of the Red House Clan. He was born into the Navajo Reservation in 1952. Jim began his professional career as a jewelry craftsman in 1981. He was taught all the fundamentals of working with silver at the age of 16 when he enrolled in a silversmithing class in high school. He credits Preston Monongya and Jessie Monongya for his success as a fine jewelry artisan. They shared their techniques with him and opened up his mind to his own designs. His designs are reflective of the bright stars of the New Mexico nights and the geometric forms of the landscape. They all play a part in his finely detailed inlay jewelry. With sleek and contemporary shapes and designs, he manages to balance the flavor of tradition with his stylized approach to Indian imagery. It is believed that Preston, Jesse, and Jim were among the first jewelers to work extensively with inlay of multicolored stones and shells with silver. His designs continue to change and they include Hopi and Navajo Sunfaces, and the Yei- bei-chei. He experiments with landscapes and galaxies. On occasion, Jim adds a rug design as a border to his beautiful designs. The work of Jimmy Harrison is very distinctive and easily recognizable. He works primarily with sterling silver and authentic multi-colored inlayed stones such as, coral, turquoise, lapis, sugalite, mother of pearl stones, and other various materials. His colorful and innovative inlays in his jewelry are inspired by the natural gifts that Mother Earth and Father Sky provide to each and every one of us. His creations include rings, necklaces, bolos, bracelets, earrings, and concho belts. He stamps his jewelry as, Jimmy Harrison.
