Stunning Old Pawn Navajo Sterling Kingman Turquoise Squash Blossom Necklace140g. Offered today is a LARGE vintage Old Pawn sterling silver Native American Navajo Kingman turquoise squash blossom necklace. This is a beautiful, large, showy piece. The turquoise is bright blue, with shimmery dark caramel and black matrix, some with gold flecks. This is one of a few pieces given to me by one of my consignor jewelers, who is actually himself, a true Native American silversmith. He did not make this particular necklace, but it came from his vast collection of vintage Navajo sterling inventory. The necklace has some heavy patina on the silver, which I left, and it can be polished by the new owner if desired. It consists of a 7-stone turquoise Naja, with cable roping around the bezels. The turquoise range from 5/8″ to 7/8″ on average. Five more blossoms are set on each side. The handmade bench beads are double-strung on the sides to accommodate the blossoms, as you can see from the photos. All of the turquoise gemstones are in very fine condition, with no damage. The necklace is 24 long and closes with a hook and eye. The naja measures 2 1/2″ top to bottom and 2 1/2″ side to side. There are some hand-scratched initials on a couple of the turquoise undersides of the naja, but no one I could identify. The necklace does test positive for sterling silver, guaranteed.
