Amazing Royston Turquoise & Silver Navajo Squash Blossom Necklace. Royston turquoise is from a group of mines near Tonopah, Nevada. The Royston District is one of Nevada’s better known turquoise producing areas. Colors vary from different shades of green, dark blue to green-blue, together in one stone. Royston matrix is heavily sought after by collectors and is known for bold colors intermingling together. The stones are absolutely beautiful and very vibrant contrasted by a toffee-copper color matrix with hints of gold. This is a rare one-of-a-kind beauty that would make a wonderful addition to your collection! This is signed: “N L”. Circa: late 70’s through early 80’s. Beautiful Royston turquoise Sterling silver Navajo pearl necklace, hallmarked T JON, and stamped STERLING. Tillie is a versatile silversmith of small stature who is often partial to large pieces. She makes traditional Navajo revival jewelry as well as contemporary, and also overlay designs. Jon showcases in this necklace a Royston turquoise. The Royston turquoise is from Nevada, and it’s known for its wide range of colors from a beautiful soft blue to emerald greens. The colors of the stone often run together in the same rock which creates some of the most spectacular stones on Earth. The soft aqua tones of this stone contrast nicely with its complex brown-tan matrix. The gem is set in a smooth bezel wrapped in twisted wire and framed by intricate cut-out designs and raindrops. The necklace weighs 102.2 grams total. The pendant is 3 1/8″ tall including the bale, by 1 7/8″ wide, at its widest point, and 1 7/8 tall minus bale and loop. The bale is adorned with lines that run across the whole piece, and it’s 1″ tall by 1/2″ wide. The Navajo pearl necklace has handmade 3/8″ beads with antique finish, and it’s about 25″ from hook to eye. Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
