This elegant handmade pearl necklace is crafted with a 10mm genuine AAA grade round freshwater pearl center bead, bright Bali beads, and sterling silver oxidized Navajo pearl beads with a rich lustrous patina. A touch of sparkle is added to the piece from the brilliant disk shaped sterling silver Bali beads. The graduated formal design integrates variations in texture and size resulting in a well balanced piece that exudes opulence, grace and style. Native American tribes were introduced to the technique of silversmithing by Spanish explorers in the late 1500’s. They then added this newly found craftsmanship to their traditional methods of bead making, leading to what we continue to admire today as sterling silver Navajo desert pearls. What set the Navajo Pearls apart from other beads is the light oxidized finish to the beads that lends character and depth to the finished piece.
