This piece contains two strands of remarkable graduating turquoise heishi with 3 exquisite Blue Diamond turquoise stones Situated at the top of the necklace a traditional silver clasp. The length of the necklace measures around 18″½ long turquoise stones measures 1″? ×1″? 1″? ×1inch Sturdy 73.1 grams. Mined for only a short span of time in the 60’s and 70’s, the classic Blue Diamond stone was a very small deposit – considered a’hat’ mine – because you could cover the findings with your hat. The stone was mostly recovered in slabs, and are recognized by darker blue colors and strong black matrix, sometimes as smoky swirls, and usually with black chert. This mine is now closed and buried under of rock.
