We are proud to offer this remarkable vintage Navajo ring featuring Blue Gem turquoise, and mother of pearl, inlay, on a handcarved graduated solid silver band! The ring face measures around 15mmx14mm The ring size is around 8.5 Sterling silver. Sturdy 14.2grams Cir Mid Century Channel inlay is a technique where precisely cut stones are set into silver channels, most closely associated with the Zuni Pueblo, but masterfully practiced by many Navajo jewelers as well. The process requires exceptional silversmithing and lapidary skills to create the intricate designs.

Really cool old vintage Navajo Native American hand made cuff bracelet. Made of solid sterling silver with turquoise & coral chip inlay. Made by the Gilbert Ortega Shop. Also has a O stamp. Total weight is 34.8 grams. Over 1 troy ounce. Measures 2.5″ across & 1″ tall. Measures approximately 6 in length. As you can see from photos there are several missing pieces of turquoise & coral. Could be replaced or would still make a cool display piece of Native American history. This is an old piece! Has great patina throughout. I have not tried to clean or polish. This is an amazing vintage Navajo Native American jewelry silver ring. This piece contains wonderful, blue turquoise inlay. The ring consists of very thick silver and measures to be a size 11 The ring face measures around 1x17mm Cir. Sturdy 11.8 grams. Chip inlay jewelry, characterized by crushed turquoise and other stones set in resin and polished smooth, is largely attributed to Navajo silversmith Tommy Singer, who popularized the technique in the 1970s. While other Navajo artists and the Zuni tribe also utilize inlay techniques, Singer’s chip inlay method is widely recognized and has become a staple in Navajo jewelry making. The process involves creating cavities in the silver piece, filling them with the crushed stone and resin mixture, and then polishing the surface to create a smooth, flat inlay.

I bought this watch bracelet new in the mid 1970’s. It is an early Charlie Singer sterling silver watch bracelet with coral and turquoise chip-inlaid phoenix bird on either side. The watch is a date/time wind-up LeGant 17-jewel Japanese movement. It keeps good time. Bracelet is for a little smaller wrist. It measures 5-1/2″ with 1″ gap. It is recommended NOT to adjust size of bracelet as the inlay may crack.
