Here we have an incredible vintage Navajo silver bracelet having a gold Sonoran turquoise oval surrounded by silver rope and silver curling stems on a handcarved graduated double silver rail cuff accented with silver handstampings! Sonoran Gold Turquoise is found in Sonora Mexico. It is prized for its color depth of Greens, Blues, and Yellow and Gold Matrices. Sonoran Gold Turquoise is mined in Sonora, Mexico near the city of Cananea. The mine is located at the Campitos Mountain just outside of the city, only about a 35-mile drive from the Arizona border. Chester guerro Birthplace 1940 New Mexico. I taught myself to be a silversmith. I learned by watching others make jewelry and looking at jewelry in books. I mostly care about the quality of my product not the quantity. I sign my jewelry with the initials CG my first love silversmithing. My hobbies are making jewelry, listening to music, gardening, sewing, cooking, reading, doing beadwork and traveling. I enjoy keeping active by dancing and exercise. A superior vintage Navajo silver and 14K gold bracelet. From side to side, the 14K gold spine steals the show with its repeated design of raised geometric shapes set against picket fence verticals. The width of the bracelet measures around 9mm The inside end to end measures around 5″? With an additional 1″¼ gap. Sturdy 22.7 grams. Signed by Navajo artist, Michael Rogers. This vintage storyteller bracelet has been beautifully handcrafted by an artist working for the designer Michael Rogers located in New Mexico. Michael Rogers opened his M. Rogers studio in 1990. He focuses on jewelry making with old world techniques using custom and traditional tools. This bracelet is stamped M. Rogers, 925 for sterling and 14K for gold. It is also stamped with the EG hallmark of the artist who crafted this piece.
