On offer is an authentic, vintage NAVAJO hand wrought. 925 sterling silver three (3) band cuff bracelet adorned with a stunning southwestern natural hand-cut and polished desert sky blue turquoise cabochon stone, fancy wire work and raindrop beading. The beautiful stone is characteristic of turquoise from the Number 8 Mines in Nevada. This bracelet is not hallmarked which was quite common in earlier Native American jewelry prior to 1970. We believe it was created circa 1940’s or perhaps earlier. This classic bracelet was skillfully executed in the traditional old NAVAJO technique with attention to detail and is in very good vintage condition (please see ALL photos for an accurate detailed depiction). The bracelet’s bands include two (2) heavy round silver wires and one (1) very heavy central flat twisted silver band. The gem quality natural turquoise stone is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The stone is firmly and securely set in a smooth silver bezel surrounded by fancy silver rope and other silver wire work on a plaque framed by silver bars and raindrop rows. The stone measures approx. 1 1/16″ long x 1″ at widest. Overall, the three (3) band bracelet measures approx. 1 1/2″ tapering to 7/16″ wide. The interior circumference of the cuff is approx. 6 5/8″ TOTAL including 1 3/8″ opening. The cuff has some flexibility for careful adjusting and weighs a very hefty 49.1 grams – 1.575 ounces. This traditional, well crafted NAVAJO. 925 Sterling Silver and Southwest Number 8 Mine Turquoise cuff bracelet created by a skilled artisan would make an outstanding addition to any Twentieth Century Native American Silver and Stone Jewelry, Southwest American Turquoise or Historic Cultural Arts and Crafts collection. We have been involved in the design and creation of contemporary jewelry at the undergraduate and postgraduate level since 1967. In 1975 we opened a gallery of hand wrought fine art contemporary jewels and have since handled thousands of unique, one of a kind and limited edition pieces crafted predominantly by American artisans with a special emphasis on Native American Art. Will be determined upon request. We believe our photos and description to be an accurate testament. Thus, ALL SALES ARE FINAL. However, mistakes do happen.
