Mid Century, early 1960’s +. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with all of its original stones and a naturally aged rich patina, ready to wear or display. This vintage necklace was beautifully handcrafted by an unknown Navajo Silversmith during the mid century. It features a classic squash design with some of the most incredible deep blue Bisbee stones. Each stone is in excellent condition, free from cracks/chips and portray amazing color qualities of deep vivid blue along with heavy dark brownish black matrixes. The turquoise looks to be old high grade Bisbee but we’re not gemologists so we can’t say for sure. The silverwork is superbly done with classic twisted ropes and meticulously coiled rods surrounding each stone. The triple petals are very strong and solid being made with heavy gauge silver and will not be bent out of shape easily. The squash has a beautiful balanced appeal with near perfect symmetry. It lays comfortably over the chest, with the Naja being the focal point but not taking away from the detail of the blossoms. It’s truly a well executed piece from start to finish. The pearls are original and in excellent condition being strung on sturdy silver wire with a classic hook and eye clasp at each end.
