Vintage Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise row Sterling silver hatband, stamped STERLING, and signed IH by the Navajo artist. This hatband showcases 6 rows of 7 turquoise stones, plus the additonal stones embellishing the two little buckles on and two keepers. The stones are set in serrated bezels and distributed across the cuff with repousse crescent moons in between each turquoise row. The hatband is framed by twisted wire on top and bottom from end to end, and the edge of the buckles and keepers are also adorned by twisted wire. This hatband was crafted with heavy-gauge silver, and it’s heavier than most hatbands we have seen, weighing roughly 72 grams, just over 2.5 oz. It measures about 3/4″ in width at the buckles, and the band itself is 3/8″ wide. This piece is adjustable and can accommodate various sizes of hats by simply sliding the band in or out of each buckle and keeper. Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art.
