MASSIVE Vintage Navajo Sterling Silver Royston Turquoise Ring GORGEOUS STONE
This listing features a large vintage Navajo ring, handcrafted with Sterling Silver and high grade Royston Turquoise. Handcrafted in the later mid century by an unidentified Navajo Artist, this vintage ring features a huge Royston stone set in a tall scalloped bezel adorned with classic stampings. The stone has incredible color qualities of rich blue-greens with burnt orange matrixes mixed with white and golden brown. The stone is in excellent condition and rests securely in it’s bezel with a high polished finish. Truly a stunning stone. The back of the ring has a graduating shank adorned with hand stampings on each side. It’s a strong solid shank that can’t be bent out of shape easily. There is no sterling stamp or Artist signature which is common of the era however, the silver has been tested and proves to be sterling. This classic Navajo ring will make a great addition to any vintage collection. Wear with pride and enjoy before handing it down in the future. Size – Sits between a 12.25 and 12.5 on a ring mandrel. Weight – 25 Grams. Ring Face Measurements – The ring face measures just a hair over 1-1/2″ long by 1″ wide and has a thickness/depth of 1/4. It’s a very large face. Shank Measurements – At bottom center the band measures just a hair over 1/4″ wide and gradually widens on each side until reaching the back of the face where it measures 1-3/8″ wide. Handcrafted by Navajo Artist Gilbert Nelson, this ring features a beautiful High Grade Royston stone. The stone sits securely in a straight bezel followed by twisted rope and silver droplets. Vibrant color hues of green and blue-green are portrayed in the stone with subtle orange matrixes and a high polished finish. The back of the ring has an extra wide and sturdy shank, in perfect round wearable shape. The shank is adorned with deep stampings before splitting into 5 shanks where large stamped appliqués rest on each side. A sterling stamp is present along with the Artist’s signature on the back of the face. This listing features a very large Navajo ring handcrafted from sterling silver and natural gem grade Turquoise. Weight – 15 Grams. Ring Face Measurements – The ring face measures just a hair under 2″ long by 7/8″ wide.. It’s a very large ring face. Stone Measurements – The top and bottom stone s each measure 5/8″ long by just under 1/2″ wide. The center stone measure 5/8″ long by 7/16″ wide and sits on top of the finger at 5/16 high. Shank Measurements – The two fused shanks measure just over 3/16″ wide and have a spread of 1/2″ when meeting the back of the face. Signed By Artist – YES, signed in script “FRED” for Navajo Artist Fred Francis. Stamped Sterling – YES, tested and verified. 925 sterling silver guaranteed. Later Century, 1990’s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stones and slightly aged patina, ready to wear or display. Expertly handcrafted, this incredibly large design features 3 gem grade Kingman and Royston stones resting over a thick bed of silver. All of the stones sit securely in finely etched sawtooth bezels while showing off vivid blue green color hues and a high polished finish. The center stone domes up and out of its bezel while the two end stones have a flatter appearance. Twisted ropes surround each stone followed by raised curling silver works running along the edges of the ring face. The back of the ring carries a thick and hearty double fused shank that splits. It’s a very strong and sturdy band in perfect round shape. An Artist signature is present along with a sterling stamp. The silver has been tested and proves to be sterling. This listing features a vintage Navajo ring handcrafted from Sterling Silver and Natural Royston Turquoise. Handcrafted during the mid century by an unknown Navajo Artist, this vintage ring features an oval face adorning an untreated Royston stone. The stone portrays dense color qualities of rich blue-greens with heavy orangish too black matrixes and sits securely in a straight bezel followed by twisted rope. The stone looks to be completely natural and untreated with a satin polished finish and is in excellent condition. The ring sits nearly 1/2 high on the finger having a deeply carved out design traveling around the stone and down the sides. I can’t remember the name of this technique but it’s hard to find and resembles tree bark. The design is very unique giving off an organic look with incredible texture and dimension. At bottom center the shank is smooth and wide. It’s a very sturdy shank in perfect round shape. Truly a beautifully ALL HAND-crafted piece. There is no signature or sterling mark which is common of the era however, the silver has been tested and proves to be sterling.
