Vintage Southwestern Native American Indian turquoise Sterling silver bead necklace, stamped STERLING, and signed JOSEPHINE, most likely a Navajo artist. The pendant showcases a gorgeous turquoise. The light blue in the center of the stone contrasts beautifully with the striking brown matrix. Polished cabochon is set in a smooth bezel wrapped in silver rope and framed by a half-round filed border. A large silver feather applique and 3 silver spheres adorn the border of the pendant. The bale is an open hook style, and measures 9/16″ in height, just over 1/16″ in width, and a depth just shy of 1/8, which may not accommodate thicker chains. The stone alone is roughly 2 3/16″ tall by 1 1/2″ wide, from bezel to bezel. The total weight of this piece is just over 69 grams. Measures approximately 28 1/4.
