Navajo Sterling Silver

This listing is for a vintage handcrafted Navajo ring, made of sterling silver and turquoise inlays. This vintage Navajo ring is a gorgeous example of flush inlay work using silver channels. The ring face has a geometric shape and is bordered by a straight edge bezel. The large bezel is filled with long rectangular inlays of turquoise separated by wafer thin silver channels. The stones and channels running between them are perfectly flush and smooth to the touch as they sit slightly raised in the bezel. Of the 13 inlays used, 10 feature a light blue color hue with subtle white cloud-like matrixes, while the remaining 3 feature a light green shade along with dark orange to tan matrixes. All 13 stones are in perfect condition with no cracks. Truly a great statement piece in mint condition. The back of the ring carries a thick and sturdy band that splits into three shanks on each side as it nears the back of the face. Deep hand stampings adorn the center shank adding just a touch more detail. The center shank is also stamped with the Artists signature and a sterling stamp on the inner side. Face of ring measures – 1-3/16 Tall by 1-1/16 Wide (both measurements taken at the center of the ring face), ring face has a depth/height of 3/16. Middle largest inlay measures – 1-3/16 Long by 5mm wide. Band measures – 3/8 wide at bottom and gradually widens as it splits apart too 3/4 wide at the back of the ring face. Signed by Artist – YES, signed by Navajo Artist, Philbert Secatero. Stamped Sterling – YES, tested and verified. Later-Mid Century, 1980s-2000s+. Condition – Preowned, in excellent vintage condition with original stone inlays and naturally aged patina, ready to wear or display. I treat every item as if it were my own.
