Old Southwestern Indian Navajo Turquoise Sterling Silver Squash Blossom Necklace
We may not always be available on weekends and/or holidays, but we will respond to your message, in the order it was received, when we return to the office. Old Southwestern Navajo turquoise sterling silver squash blossom necklace, unmarked. This gorgeous necklace showcases 17 high-grade rich blue turquoise stones. The 7-stone naja is about 2 1/2″ tall by 2 7/8″ wide, with its larger, center stone measuring 3/4″ x 5/8″, from bezel to bezel. The bead necklace has 10 turquoise stones adorning each of the squash blossoms in graduated style, ranging from 1 1/2″ to 1 1/4″ in height. The largest blossom stone is about 13/16″ x 5/8″, bezel to bezel. All the cabochons are set in smooth bezels wrapped in twisted wire. Each 5/16 bench-made bead was individually crafted by soldering the two halves of the round bead together, a very meticulous work, and unfortunately a dying art. The whole necklace has a very dark patina (left untouched). This piece weighs a hefty 127.5 grams, and measures about 22 1/4 from hook to eye. Superb stones and silver work, classic Navajo design. Thank you for supporting authentic Native American art. All measurements are approximations. Please measure your wrist, decolletage, finger, and waist, or use an old bracelet, necklace, bolo tie, belt, and so on, to determine your size.
